- The faithful midge insect, its imitations are the go to for a lot fly fisherman, especially in the dead of winter.
- This pattern is designed to be an emerging midge, and should be used when fish are seen "sipping” the surface of the water.
- Designed with a foam post to help keep this pattern in the subsurface.
- The white post also makes it much easier to see this pattern when lighting conditions are not as favorable.
- Fish in the subsurface, apply floatant and fish as a dry, fish a dropper, or when the terrestrials are out fish in tandem with a big foam fly (one of our favorite ways to fish small dries).
